Medical Microneedling in Irvine
Not all microneedling is the same. In California, microneedling is legally classified as a medical procedure that can only be performed by a licensed physician or supervised medical professional. At RH Medical & Wellness Center in Irvine, Dr. Roya Hormozdiaran performs every treatment personally, combining medical-grade Dermapen 4 technology with clinical precision for results that go well beyond what a spa setting can offer.
What is medical microneedling?

What medical microneedling can treat
Conditions and skin concerns
Results are gradual and cumulative. Most patients see initial improvement within 2 to 4 weeks, with full collagen remodeling continuing for up to 3 months after each session.

Why choose a physician over a med Spa
Enhanced with exosomes
Beyond collagen stimulation
For patients who want to take results further, we offer exosome therapy as an enhancement to standard microneedling. Exosomes are microscopic regenerative messengers that carry growth factors and cellular renewal signals directly into the skin through the micro-channels created during treatment.
A single oscillation of the Dermapen 4 needle cartridge can deliver 112,000 exosomes into the skin. Clinical studies show pore reduction of up to 41% at 5.5 months, with results maintained at 21 months after just 2 sessions when combining Dermapen 4 with exosomes.
Exosome enhancement accelerates healing, reduces inflammation, and guides the skin’s repair process at a cellular level, producing results that last significantly longer than microneedling alone.
Ask Dr. Roya at your consultation whether exosome therapy is right for your skin concern.
Your treatment at RH Medical & Wellness Center
What to expect at your session
Each session at RH Medical & Wellness Center includes:
Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes. Most patients experience mild redness for 24 to 48 hours with minimal downtime.
How many sessions do you need?
For most skin concerns, a series of 3 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart produces the most significant results. Maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months help sustain collagen levels over time.
Fall is the ideal time to start a microneedling series - cooler weather supports skin recovery and sun exposure is reduced. For a limited time, we are offering a discounted 3-session package performed personally by Dr. Roya Hormozdiaran, Board Certified Internist.
